The Fibre Mill - East Anglia Alpaca Mill
Below are some photos of our latest wool batches going through the processes at East Anglia Alpaca Mill, they do a fantastic job & send daily emails & photos of each stage with comments & suggestions on the work.
The delicate time-consuming process takes over a week for 10 kgs to go through all the different steps from start to finish.
We send over our wool and there is a 5 - 6month waiting list to get fibre processed, but it is well worth the wait, as the product is beautiful and of such excellent quality.
This year with the covid shutdown complications we did wait longer but the Mill worked tirelessly to meet all the requirements needed.

Efra, Hiccup & Kody's fibre.
.......and then it is spun onto Cones ready for despatch.

The balls come in 100 gms and are Suri, or Huacaya fibre.
We now dye our own Suri & Huacaya fibre, as below, this is just a small selection of colours possible.
